That was meant to be taken in context I mean that I don't see any skills being of use for your build in the UW in any mesmer line other than domination. Anyway how is attempting to interupt futile? If you're using Holy Veil, there is a nice window of opportunity to interrupt hexes.

I'm interested in where this infinate pool of energy comes from... You're suggesting that he interupts the hexes from the mindblades (of which there are always at the VERY least 3, each one carrying 4+ hexes) as well as kill them, while losing even more energy due to the mindblades hexing/interupting him...
I don't know about yours, but my necro has 200 energy, with 6 pips of regen.
(not to mention the bar you just posted doesn't even have an interupt... is he going to /scare the spells off of them?)

Now maybe you can understand the "double post" They are 2 different topics Infact, they have nothing to do with each other.
Earlier I said that the holy veil may be used to increase casting time, making it easier to interrupt. I also said that it was unlikely that you were using interrupt skills. It was certainly viable to me that you may be using interrupts, as some builds which are not "uber elite" can still manage to be successful. I was trying figure out what you were using based on the information available.
The next post, not to be confused with its predecessor, took another stab at your build.
PS: I hope you're not flaming at me; it seems like you might be. You can't always tell a person's intentions by reading the words which they type. Just remember that it's a game

i love how everyone is trying to figure out Mr Jerrypants. Not everyone can fill those pants...let me tell ya. And no...your nowhere close to our build. An example, in a game of horseshoes, you didnt even hit the sand pit.

See, I don't get why you're saying that because there is strong evidence that you are using 4 of the 8 skills listed. The other 4 are "guessed" but in an educated manner. I think you guys are just trying to keep your build secret, and even if someone guessed it exactly you would still deny it. Just my $.02

Thats not it at all. When we say that your nowhere close to our build, your nowhere close, Saying you have half the build doesnt get the quests done now does it? Jerry already stated he runs a heavily modified SS build. So take your normal SS necro build with a grain of salt, and go from there. If you want to figure it out, keep it simple.
Its a guild secret, and besides, if we told you what it was, you probably couldnt run it right.

there are many non-dom mes skills that are useful in UW, in addition to SV of course. In my earlier posts I said I used a heavily modified SS/SV build, so when you post four of the "core" skills in a good ss/sv build and get four right it's nothing too special. with your current guess for example, you're spreading your att points across blood, curses, soul reaping, dom, and illusion. yuck city. If someone guessed my build 100% I'd own up to it, because even if you just randomly put in skills it would take you tons of guesses to get. If someone logically guessed it, they'd be commended. Perhaps when we beat the four horsemen (our only stumbling block at the moment) and finish clearing everything 3-man in one run I'll reveal my skillset.

Been thinking up many teambuilds for tombs and solobuilds for all sorts of stuff and i find this UW build nice stuff to ponder about
I however do agree on the fact that the skillset alone won't get you anywhere near completing the whole of UW. You gotta use em the right way too
oh well, i'll stick to thinking of 8 man tombs/GvG builds for now at least i can get ppl together to test those

I think this is the case with the majority of people. Most have little or no experience fighting the dream riders/mindblades/dead threshers/dead collectors. The bottom line is if you don't know what you're up against, you can't plan to properly fight it. Simply knowing that the mindblades and riders are mesmers who degen/interupt, or that the threshers and collectors are necros will not help you. You have to understand how they fight as well.

we did this the other night, 6 man total clear of underworld, all reapers freed, all quests done except 4 horsemen. We had 2 monks, 3 necros, and a mesmer.

I'm curious, did you attempt 4 horsemen or just bypass it completely? That's a bitch of a quest for sure, though I'm sure a full team would have a much higher success rate than a minimal man team. We think we can do it 3man, although it will be very sketchy. Haven't been in to test since we lacked favor for almost all of yesterday.

Ok Im going to take a random swing at it now. Me and 2 guildies just went, and here is the build we used.
Mo/W=standard tank (same skills as Sno)
Mo/Me=SB, Shatter Hex, Remove Hex, Holy Veil, SV, Arcane Echo, Vengeance, Rebirth (last 2 for the not-paying-attention death of the monk)
N/Me= SS, Suffering, SV, Arcane Echo, Desecrate, Blood Ritual, Res Sig, and Awaken the Blood
Basically we need a normal run til Chaos Wastes, then I (the Mo/Me) would Arcane Echo SB, and the Necro would Arcane Echo SV. Well it worked real well until on the first group of 9 we had a mis-communication on when to do SB, and we both did it at the same time. Thus, we lost our long lasting SB and our tank died. Im guessing it would have worked though if we did everything right.
Im going to guess yours is similar too? Please dont flame me if Im wrong

@Bako: Something like that. Except what we run is much more complex on the monk and the nec. since it's built not only for the blades but for the bone pits as well.
I spoke with someone and told them I'd get a picture of the 4 horsemen mobs up, so here you go. Lines drawn on radar are by me to emphasize the 2 seperate mobs which converge. There's 2 more dryders than pictured that are dead, and each of the Dhuum horsemen is a highlevel mesmer boss-like creature, meaning hexes and conditions have half duration on them (guild lord anyone?) It's ugly as hell, but we'll see what we do with our plan when we try it. The spawns pop outside of radar range and you have between 1-2 mins before they end up at that position. yuck.
